I had a chance to visit this mandolin in Nashville in the summer of 2010 during IBMA. It’s owner was kind enough to bring it by. It’s in pristine condition and has the sweet Loar-like tone that many of us love so much. I sold it to him a few years before, and he’ll always have it.
