This delightful tune was written for Martin’s father, who led the Tulla Ceili Band for many years. The syncopation between the rhythm and melody is deceptive at first, and it is well suited to the sparse accompaniment style on the mp3 included below the mandolin version. It’s not a hard tune to play, perhaps a little more so on the guitar—here played slowly.
